Friday, October 3, 2008
Just a quick reminder to those of you who have not yet registered to vote that the last day to do so to be eligible to vote in the November 4 General Election is October 8.
It is crucial to have strong turnout at the polls on November 4, so please remind your friends of this deadline and remember to vote on November 4. I have included the link to the Secretary of State’s voter registration page.

On Campaign Trail to Pulaski County
Wednesday, June 11, 2008
This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit Pulaski County, and meet a great group of Democrats. Each person I met was very welcoming, and the fresh fish was cooked perfectly.
It was refreshing to see the dedication the people of Pulaski County have for working to elect Democrats. There really is a feeling this will be a great year for Democrats across the state and country.
Also, it is always wonderful to hear how supportive the people of Missouri are when they find out my commitment to their ideals and the issues that matter the most to them. I find that wherever I go, there is one resounding theme; something has to change. Folks are tired of having to fight for health care, they are fed up with worrying about home foreclosure and they want an affordable college education. These are the issues that matter to Missourians and the issues that have been ignored by the Republican administration in the state.
Traveling provides me the unique opportunity to visit with individuals throughout the state and find out what matters most to them. As I make my way to your community I encourage you to stop by an event and share with me what you feel Missouri needs to get back on track.
I hope you will find that my reputation as a fighter for Missouri families will make you proud. I look forward to meeting you along the campaign trail, and thanks again to the great folks down in Pulaski County for reminding how important this job is.

Earning Your Support
Thursday, May 29, 2008
Welcome to my new campaign website. I’m excited to share this site with you as my campaign continues making progress toward victory in August. I hope to use this website and this blog as a way to communicate with voters like you.
The Democratic race for Treasurer got off to a late start, but I’m proud to say that I have won the endorsements of 42 of my colleagues from the House, along with former Governor Roger Wilson and Senators Joan Bray and Rita Days from St. Louis. My campaign has also picked up the support of several major labor unions: AFSCME, SEIU, UAW, the Teamsters, UFCW, the Machinists, Laborers, Firefighters, and Gas Workers.
Their support says a lot about the strong start our campaign has made, but it’s the support I hope to earn from you that will be the final word in the Democratic Primary.
I am running for Treasurer because I want to make a difference in the lives of the people of this state. Whether that’s by protecting the security of your retirement and investments, making college more affordable for you or your kids, or helping to make home ownership a reality for more Missourians while also helping those facing foreclosure.
I invite you to explore my website and to learn more about me and my campaign for Missouri Treasurer. I also invite you to join my campaign and help me represent the values that make Missouri’s cities, towns and communities strong.
